***This story takes place during season one of the Seeker***

Some Months Ago...

On the outskirts of Amora, a young child sits by a roaring fire, down by the lak his father takes in a bit of night fishing hoping to snare some dinner to fill their bellies. As he tilts his head back to marvel at the great expance and all the stars, the young boy Jason spies a shooting star streaking across the upper atmosphere.

"Father look a shooting star!" Jason cried alerting his father.

"Close your eyes and make a wish, preferibly one involving fish." The boys father Milo said.

As Milo and Jason watched the green streak of light cascade across the sky they wouldn't have suspected that it wasn't a star at all but rather a man. A man from far away...farther than they could have imagined.

Now...

It had been a long while since Richard, Kahlan and Zedd had seen a town the size of Amora. But seeing as they were running low on supplies they decided to stop in for a bit.

"Have you ever been here before Zedd?" Richard asked

Zedd looked around and winced trying to remember.

"Once Richard, but that was a long time ago." he said

Kahlan looked around and noticed that the people were useasy, not frightened but just unsure.

"Something has these people riled up." Kahlan said.

As they continued through town the came a across a small bow carrying a green stick batting it around like he was battling invisible enemies.

"And who are you supposed to be lad, The Seeker perhaps/" Zedd asked.

Jason turned around revealing a small strip of green covering his eyes, like a mask.

"No way! The Seeker's great and all but I'm the Green Wizard." Jason said

"The Green Wizard?" Richard asked looking at Zedd.

"Don't look at me, I've never heard of any Green Wizard." Zedd said.

"He's the protector of Amora." Jason said.

"He's a savior to our people is what he is." Milo said approaching his son.

"A month ago, a great fire destroyed our crops and threatened us with starvation. That night the farmers saw a cloaked figure walk among the fields, his hands glowing green with magic which rejuvinated the plants where they grew. Then when a flood carried away three children, he appeared and used his green magic to whisk them from danger." Milo added.

"Where is this Green Wizard now?" Zedd asked.

"He lives in the forest nobody knows where for sure he likes his privicy i guess." Jason said.

As Milo and Jason walked away, Richard noticed that Zedd was looking towards the woods puzzled.

"What are you thinking Zedd?" He asked.

"This Green Wizard is most puzzling." Zedd said.

"Maybe we should look for him, if he's as powerful as they claim maybe he can help us in our fight against Darken Rahl. Kahlan said.

"She's right, we can always use more help." Richard said

"I guess you're right." Zedd said

As night fell over the forest a yound gril named Amanda sauntered through the trees collecting elder flowers. She looked around sencing that she was being watched.

"hello?" Amanda called out

After a few seconds she resumed collecting her flowers.

"Hello?" She called again still feeling eyes on her. But this time she heard a response a low growling from behind some rocks.

Amand starting walking backwards slowly as a large wolf appeared. But as he moved so did the wolf. Seeing here demise imminenet she let out a scream of terror.

"Did you hear that?" Richard asked kahlan.

"It was a scream." she said.

"Hurry it came from this direction." Richard shouted taking off in a run.

The came upon the girl Amanda, still on the ground with the dead wolf at her feet.

"The wolf attacked me, but then the Green wizard saved me." she said struggling to stand.

"Which way did he go?" Richard asked.

"He went that way, towards the Ni lake." Amanda said.

"Can you make it home?" Kahlan asked.

"I think so, yes." Amanda said stepping down on her injured foot.

Richard, Kahlan and Zedd walked slowly to the top of a hill, hugging the ground they peered over the side to the lake below and they say a cloaked figure standing over the dark waters of Ni lake.

"What's he doing?' Kahlan asked.

"i'm not sure." Zedd said.

As they groud watched, the cloaked man began to wave his hands causing a green swirling vortex to form over the water.

"he's casting a spell of some sort." Zedd said.

The Green vortex opened revealing a strange glowing lantern which floated across the water and into his waiting hand.

"This is unlike any magic I have ever seen." Zedd said.

With Lantern in hand, the Wizard rolled up his sleeves and that's when Richard noticed the Green glow on his hand was coming from a ring situated on his index finger.

"He's wearing some kind of Green Ring as well." Richard said.

"In brightest day, in blackest night." the stranger began to chant.

"He's saying something." Zedd said.

"No evil shall escape my sight." The man added.

"See he is good." Richard said.

"Let those who worship evils might, beware my power Green Lanterns Light."

As he spoke the words, the green ring began to glow more briliantly as if it's powers had increased.

"He's recharging the ring, that is the source of his power." Zedd said.

His task done, the Green Lantern slipped back into the vortex and vansihed.

"I'm going to say hi." Richard said.

"What Richard we have no idea who that man is." Zedd said.

"You heard his spell Zedd, 'No evil shall escape my sight' I'm telling you he's on our side."

As Richard approached the snapping of a twig alerted the man to his presence.

Spinning to face his persuier the man conjured a gleeming green sword as if from nowhere.

"Relax Green Wizard, I'm a friend." he said.

"My apologies sir Richard is brash and rude." Zedd said appearing from the darkness

"I am Ricahrd, this is Zedd and this is Kahlan and you are?"

The man removed his cloak's hood revealing a young face, he had short black hair and wore a green mask across his face.

"I am Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Sector 2814." he said.

"Excuse me but I'm afriad I'm not familiar with Sector 2814." Richard said.

"No I don't expect you would." Hal said

"Aye because I'm sure it is far away from here." Zedd said.

"You are right Wizard it is indeed." Hal said

"How did you know he was a wizard?" Kahlan asked.

"My ring can feel his mystic energies like we can feel heat and cold." hal said.

"What do you mean far from here Zedd?" Richard asked.

"I suspect that this Green Lantern is from another form of reality." Zedd said.

"What does that mean?" Richard asked.

"Do you mean he is from beyond the veil?" kahlan asked.

"Would somebody tell me what's going on?" Richard asked.

"There is not one universe Richard." Zedd said.

"They exist in concert with our own but on different magical wavelengths." Zedd said

"Somehow Hal was able to traverse the one impenetrible boundry and arrive in our world." Kahlan said

"But how?" Richard asked.

"It's quite a story." Hal said.
