Erik Stoller jumped from the back of a transport van. "There he is!" a voice shouted feining joy. "Hello Uncle Malik." Erik shouted walking over.

"You decided to take me up on my offer Erik?" Malik asked.

"Yes Uncle and it's not Erik anymore, call me Piet, Piet Gruber."

"It warms my heart to hear that name once again, it was your grandfathers name and now it's yours."

Malik grabbed a muted green pack and dropped it on a foldout card table.

"This occasion deserves a toast!" Malik said removing a bottle of muddy brown liquid.

"This was your fathers favorite drink, it's only fitting that we use it in his honor." Malik said pouring a glass.

"To revenge!" Piet shouted.

"Yes...to revenge." Malik responded.

Six Months later.

"Go around back!" Jack shouted to Al.

"Got ya Partner!" Al shouted back.

Jack made his way through the back of a Korean grocer and out the back way, he held his gun at the ready, waiting for anything.

Her lifted his gun and drew down...on Al.

"Where is he?" Al asked.

"He should be here!" Jack shouted.

Jack looked up as a metallic clanging drew his attention. Looking up Jack saw the suspect pulling up a fire escape ladder and then taking off across the roof.

"Call it in Al." Jack shouted.

"What arte you gonna do?" Al asked.

Al watched as Jack ran to the opposite side of the alley and jumped onto a dumpster, from the dumpster he easily reached to opposite fireescape and with all the skill of an olympic gymnast cleared the distance to the other fireescape and to the roof.

"How the fuck....Attention!" Al shouted into his radio.

"Suspect escaping on foot, be advised he was last seen on the roof of Kwon Market Officer Generro in persuit repeat Officer Genero in persuit."

Jack could see the suspect a few yards ahead bounding acroos the short roofs of Koreatown trying desperatly to leave the determined cop in the dust. Jack could see the man was tiring and used the lag to his advantage, he increased his spped and closed the gap between them with ease.

"Stop!" Jack shouted firing his gun into the air.

The suspect stopped as the pop echoed through the cavernous streets below, it was joined by a symphony of whining sirens.

"Turn around slowly!" Jack shouted.

The suspect turned, his hands still raised. Jack could see the wad of bills in his waiostband as well as the gun he used on Mr. Kwon.

"The gun, lost it now!" Jack shouted.

Jack pulled the hammer back on his Glock 9mm in antisipation of any action.

"I aint going back to prison man!" The suspect shouted.

Jack's heart pounded as the man reached for the gun and brought it up to his own head.

"Don't!" Jack shouted as he pulled his trigger.

The suspect collapsed to the ground gripping what was left of his hand in pain, blood pouring onto the tar rooftop. Jack walked over and kicked the suspects gun aside.

"You don't get off that easily!" Jack whispered.

Al and a support team made their way to the scene in time to see Jack cuffing the suspect to a nearby TV arial.

"He was trying to off himself, not on my watch!" jack said.

"Just heard from the medics, Mr. Kwon's gonna be fine the bullet missed anything vital." Jack smiled and put his gun back in his holster.

"You hear that...John Alverez?" Al said looking at the mans wallet.

"You have the right to remain silent."

Jack sat in the squadcar, sipping a bottle of water he looked at his hand and it was still shaking clenching his fist he took a deep breath, then closed his eyes.
