School Days....of the Dead 1
Chapter One: Saturday DetentionTroy Fuller loved to sleep in on Saturday, but he looked at the clock as got dressed on this particular saturday because of a stupid incident that happened earlier in the week. "Saturday detention, what is this 'The Breakfast Club'!" he thought as he slipped on his jacket. He could've skipped it, but that would mean a suspension and his mother would go absolutly volcanic if that were to happen. Troy stepped out of his apartment and zipped his jacket as the cold Autumn air blew past. As he walked down the cobblestone walkway the fall leaves crunched underfoot. He reached the buildings communal bikerack and slipped the lock on his bike, a slightly older hand-me-down Huffy. As he rode up the hill towards Hughes Falls High he saw the other Saturday Detention guys arrive. Out of the group he only recognised one of them her name was Camilla Brown and they were once good friends until highschool that is. "Hey Camilla you got Saturday detention too huh?" Camilla looked at him her green eyes offset by the dark black eyeshadow she had on. "It's Cam now." was all she said as she walked away. "Oh sorry Cam!" Troy shouted after her. Cam was once a happy and adventurous red headed ray of sunshine. But when they left Junior High for Highschool she was absorbed into the goth culture, she dyed her hair and took on an entirely new persona, that of Cam the tought, brooding Goth Chick. As Troy reached the main entrance he spotted Vice Principle Moody there, holding a clipboard, as the others walked by he checked off names. "Ahh if it isn't Mr. Fuller, welcome to your home for the next eight hours." he said with a smirk revealing his yellow teeth. "Mr. Moody do I really have to be here?" Troy asked. "I mean I already apologised." he added. "I'd like to let you go Troy, but that wouldn't be fare to the rest of them." Troy walked in and watched as Mr. Moody locked the door. "You're locking us in, why?" Troy asked. "I wouldn't want you to get any bright ideas about escaping, now go on everybody's in the Cafeteria." As Troy walked he muttered "I'm suprised were not in the library!" Troy walked into the Cafeteria and saw the others they were all spread out each sitting at a different table. "Nice try you guys!" Moody said. "Now get over here, in the marked section." he added Troy walked over and sat down, to his surprise Cam sat down next to him. As the others walked over Troy began to giggle slightly, a common theme emerging in the group. "Is something funny Mr. Fuller?" Moody asked. Troy looked around and nodded. "I didn't know you were a John Hughes Fan, that's all sir." Troy said. "What do you mean?" Mr. Moody asked. "What do I mean?" Troy asked. The reason Troy was asking about the classic 80's teen flick staring members of the "Brat Pack" was because he was surrounded by the cast of the movie. "Well look we have the Goth." he said pointing at Cam. "The Nerd." he said jabbing a thumb in his own chest. "The Jock." he said motioning oved to the quarterback in the Letterman's jacket. "The rich girl." he said adressing the Gucci purse clutching beautyqueen "And last but not least the punk." he said pointing to the young lady clad in the leather jacket. "The only difference is she should be a he and I'm a comicbook nerd, not the science type." Mr. Moody nodded. "Very funny Mr. Fuller." he said cracking a fake smile. "If you'll all avert your eyes to the wall behind you you will notice the Panisonic X-3000 security camera, that feed is live and streaming in my office so no funny business." he said "Now if you'll excuse me." he said walking away. Troy sat there, in the silence flipping through his comicbook. "I can't take this!" the leatherclad girl shouted. "What?" Troy asked. "The silence is deafening!" she shouted. "Yeah I agree." Troy said. "As most of you heard from Mr. John Hughes I'm Troy, who are you?" he asked. "I'm Patty Broyles" she said. "I'm Amy Houser." the rich girl announced. "I'm Dexter Block, you can call me Dex." the jock said. The group turned their attention to Cam. "That's Camilla...I mean Cam." Troy corrected himself. The Saturday detention had begun, but nobody in the group could've suspected that the most completly impossible event in history was occuring just beyond the brick and mortar walls of Hughes Highschool. |
