Daybreak: Chapter Three

Day Three: Something Weird

"Rory?" Trevor said in confusion. "Yeah bro it's me, you alright?" Trevor sat up. "No I am definitely not alright!" Trevor said. "I'm reliving the worst day of my life over and over again!" Rory sat on his bed and bit into his pizza. "You better get to class, Professor McClure's test is today." Trevor sat up. "Screw the test, this is more important than that!" Trevor grabbed a bag and started shoving clothes into it. "Where are you going?" Rory asked. "I'm leaving, I'm taking Jenna and ditching." Rory got 8n his face. "Dude this is something weird and not like you!" Rory said. "I don't know why but maybe if I can save Jenna i'll see tomorrow!"

Trevor ran across the quad and met Jenna on her way to class. "Hey you." she said. "You're right on time!" she added. "What's with the bag?" she asked. "Oh I just thought we'd take a day." Jenna laughed. "A day, this test means our grade we can't just blow it off!" Trevor laughed nervously. "Sure we can, there's a make up test right?" Jenna looked at her watch. "Come on Jen you're the one saying that I'm not adventurous, what do you say up for an adventure?" Jenna smiled. "Yeah sure, just let me go back to the dorm to get some clothes." Jenna ran back to the dorm with Trevor following behind.

"I have a good feeling about this." Jenna said smiling. "Me too." Trevor said pulling his car into the northbound lane. "Where are we going?" she asked. "Rory took his girlfriend to this little B&B in Montawk, I figured that it would be good for us as well." "Oh and what are you planning to do at this Bed and Breakfast?" she said playfully.

Trevor looked at his gas gague a short time later. "Looks like Rory forgot to fill up." Trevor said. "I saw a sign for a gas station, should be near here." Jenna said. "There it is." Trevor said happily. He pulled in and up to the pump. "I'll pump." he said. As he pumped the gas Jenna got out to stretch her legs. "I gotta pay." Trevor said. "Want anything?" he added. "Yeah a Dr. Pepper and a couple KitKat bars." Trevor ran in leaving Jenna to stretch her legs.

"That your girlfriend?" the older woman behind the counter asked. "Yeah." Trevor said smiling. "She's quite a looker...oh my god!" a look of terror gripped her as she saw a car strike Jenna and drive off. "Call 911!" Trevor shouted as he ran out.

He ran to her side, she was bleeding heavily but alive. "Jenna don't move!" Trevor said. "Ken...Ken...Ken." as Trevor looked on Jenna passed away.

"I'm sorry about this Mr. Lee." Detective Spooner said. "Did you see the make of the car?" Trevor shook his head. "We've been at this for hours, how about we take a break." Detective Johnson said. "Can I get you some coffee Trevor?" Spooner asked. "Yeah sure thanks." Trevor said putting his head down. As Spooner and Johnson closed the door Trevor heard. "Poor kid, he really loved that girl." To which spooner replied "Yeah, geez it's almost dawn!"

Trevor heard the word 'dawn' as if he was swimming in a cave, it sounded distant and kinda muffled. "

"Dude don't you have finals today?"
